Porsche Towson Baltimore, Maryland, USA would accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for its cars. Porsche has started accepting cryptocurrencies for its cars at a dealership in the United States. According to Bitcoin payments provider BitPay, Porsche Towson dealership in Baltimore, MD, has started accepting crypto. “Turn your crypto into the precious metal at Porsche Towson. Now accepts crypto as payment for vehicle purchases,” the US-based blockchain payment technology said on its Twitter account. According to the tweet, Porsche Towson now accepts Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu ( SHIB) among other cryptocurrencies. At the time of the news, the price of Bitcoin has surged significantly amid heightened bullish sentiment. Tesla, however, did a U-turn and halted Bitcoin payments for its cars. The company nonetheless retained its $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin purchases , with CEO Elon Musk saying the company won’t sell its BTC. Bitcoin price hit highs of 69 000 dollars in November 2021, ETH, DOGE and SHIB also recording huge benefits. The crypto market has been down ever since, however, with BTC touching lows of 33 000 $ earlier in the year. The cryptocurrency is currently trading around 13 150$ after a new bounce above 41 000 $.
